I love to read so decided to start a blog reviewing and recommending some of the books I have read or plan to read. These are just based on my opinions of course and everyone has different opinions on books. What I enjoy may not be enjoyed by someone else and vice versa as we all have individual tastes. It would make for a very boring world if we didn't. This is all new to me so please bear with me as I start up.
About Me

- A little about me I love to read I was taught by my mum at a very young age starting with the famous Peter and Jane books! I moved on to read Enid Blyton books all of them loved the Famous 5, I then progressed to Agatha Christie as well as some of the classics such as Charles Dickens, Jane Austen. My favourite book to this day I think is still Daphne Du Mauriers Rebecca I have read and. re read it so many times and I remember watching the old black and white film and Mrs Danvers scared me to death especially at the end when she burns to death. Books are a way of losing yourself they can take you away from what is going on in your life at the time and draw you in to the story. I always think a good author can make you believe anything, you can feel like the character in the book, or you can be scared of the character in the book. Just lose yourself, let yourself be drawn in to a good story.

Just a few books I managed to grab when in The works a couple of weeks ago they all happen to be on my TBR list so this was a bargain £10 for 6 books ironically its a shop I have never thought to look in but its good to support your local shops if you can. I have to admit I do use Amazon a lot and sometimes I even buy books twice once as a physical copy and as an ebook if on offer. The reasons I do this is because there is nothing like holding a real book but as I have osteoarthritis in my hands sometimes it becomes a little difficult I do have a book holder which is a life saver though. I use it for both holding a physical book as well as my kindle or iPad when reading on them at night that way if I happen to doze off the kindle switches itself off after a few minutes of not being touched. Only draw back is I normally then wake up with my glasses on! I would highly recommend having a look in your local shop The Works if you have one though as they have a very good selection of books at a good price. I will be doing some reviews on these as and when I read them so look out for that in the future.
