About Me

My photo
A little about me I love to read I was taught by my mum at a very young age starting with the famous Peter and Jane books! I moved on to read Enid Blyton books all of them loved the Famous 5, I then progressed to Agatha Christie as well as some of the classics such as Charles Dickens, Jane Austen. My favourite book to this day I think is still Daphne Du Mauriers Rebecca I have read and. re read it so many times and I remember watching the old black and white film and Mrs Danvers scared me to death especially at the end when she burns to death. Books are a way of losing yourself they can take you away from what is going on in your life at the time and draw you in to the story. I always think a good author can make you believe anything, you can feel like the character in the book, or you can be scared of the character in the book. Just lose yourself, let yourself be drawn in to a good story.

Ragdoll by Daniel Cole

This is the debut novel from Daniel Cole and if you like your thrillers a little on the gory side then this is a read for you. It is the first book in a trilogy the second book is called Hangman and follows on from where this one leaves off the third book Endgame is due out in September of this year and I cannot wait.

A serial killer is on the loose a body has been found with the dismembered parts of 6 different victims sewn together the press nickname the body Ragdoll. Its uptown Detective William 'wolf' Fawkes recently reinstated after previously attacking a serial killer known as "The Cremation Killer" after he was found not guilty. Wolf had been the officer who arrested him and knew he was guilty he lost it and ended up being suspended and in a mental facility.

After being assessed and found fit to return to work this is the case he has to deal with along with his former partner Detective Emily Baxter. this is one long ride and had me gripped to the pages throughout. This is a rollercoaster ride from start to finish.

I absolutely loved this and just couldn't put it down and luckily I didn't have long to wait for the second book the wait for the final instalment is harder to do to see how the whole drama finishes up.

If you like cosy thrillers then this is not for you but if you like a little more guts and gore then grab this book now and follow with the second book.

This is just my opinion on the book and is an unbiased view I would give it 5 stars out of 5
