Little Girl missing - J G Roberts
The blurb
How can a little girl go missing?
Five year old Cassie Baileys mother tucked her into bed and kissed her goodnight. The following morning she is missing. Her unicorn bedcovers are empty, and her parents are frantic.
Detective Rachel Hart knows that the first few hours after a child goes missing are the most crucial, and that the Baileys are living every parents worst nightmare. Rachel knows, because as a child her family lived through it too, when her sister was taken.
The days are ticking by with no sign of Cassie, and the cracks in the Baileys marriage are beginning to show. But are the holes in their stories because they are out of their minds with panic - or because they are lying?
Rachel is convinced that Cassie knew the person who took her, but can she find the little girl before she’s lost forever?
My Review
My Review
This is a well written story with lots of things going on that just keeps making you jump from one person to another thinking it could be them that has taken Cassie. The Baileys marriage is already broken as the husband left five weeks earlier after getting drunk after an argument with his wife and ending up in bed with the one person that his wife hates because she had been bullied all through childhood by this girl now grown woman.
Has Cassie been abducted? Is she still alive ? Where is she?
This book will keep you guessing until the end and I would highly recommend it it’s a good read.
The characters are good and hopefully we will see more of Detective Rachel Hart.
I give this book 5 out of 5
Thank you to #netgalley and #bookouture for an ARC of this my opinions are honest and are my own.
